IT IS AN EVANGELISTIC MINISTRY: Taking the gospel to the inner city is our primary goal. We offer Bible Classes every day of the week except Saturday. We have eight learning centers that teach God's word on Monday and Tuesday night. Currently we have over 350 students attending weekly. On Wednesday, we offer a weekly Bible study at the Inner City building and at the Elk's Lodge. On Thursday, we offer a Community Bible Study in Trenholm Court. On Friday evening, we offer a Teenage Program. We offer home evangelistic Bible studies daily. We are in constant need of good, sound Bible teachers. Many of our teachers on Sunday and Wednesday work on a rotation basis and help us once or twice a month. This allows them to work Inner City Ministry into their schedule. Currently, we have over 250 Vocational Missionaries working with us weekly.
IT IS A TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY: The ministry owns and operates twelve buses and three vans. These vehicles are used to transport people to worship and Bible classes throughout the city. Bus Drivers and Bus Workers with a servant's heart are always in high demand.
IT IS A SHARING MINISTRY: Clothing is collected from the area churches of Christ and distributed among the needy through the Rolling Closet Ministry. Your assistance can be used through donations or in helping distribute the clothing. We stress that these clothes are being given to the Lord and are distributed in His name. Therefore we expect those contributing to give good, clean clothing that is hung on hangers. Giving things to our Lord that could not be sold at a family yard sale is discouraged. We stress doing and giving God our best.
IT IS A CARING MINISTRY: Whether you ride a bus, serve at a learning center or help distribute clothing, love is a vital ingredient needed to touch the lives of the people in our inner city. While we hate sin, we love sinners and care deeply for their souls. We are willing to accept people where they are and work to bring them to where God wants them to be.
IT IS AN EQUIPPING MINISTRY: The ministry provides workshops and training seminars during the year to equip brethren to work and connect with the inner city culture.

IT IS A MINISTRY IN WHICH CHURCHES OF CHRIST ARE ENCOURAGED TO WORK TOGETHER: Emphasis is put on "Endeavoring to keep the unity of theSpirit in the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:3 and I Peter 2:17 "...Love the brotherhood..." The ministry is also committed to tearing down the walls of economic and racial prejudices. The building of bridges among the area congregations has allowed us to raise up a large army of God's people to reach the lost in our inner city.
