Tornado Damage
On Sunday afternoon February 17th shortly after 3:00 pm Prattville was struck by an F3 tornado. A tremendous amount of damage was done to several neighborhoods and our main business district. Yet through it all no one was killed. Approximately 30 people suffered varying degrees of injury.
Below are pictures of damage to the homes of members of our congregation and their neighborhoods.
Note that although these are members of our congregation, many of our neighbors and members of our community suffered loss. We, along with the Prattville community at large immediately came to the need of everyone, regardless of their membership in our congregation.
This terrible tragedy also gives us a chance to show Christ to the community. Please read Psalm 29 and know that our Lord sits on the Throne and that it is to Him that we give praise.
Those within our congregation with damage to their homes are:
Mike and Elizabeth Manley
Martha Aubert
Sammy and Beth Huggins
Allen and Lynne Griffies
Tommy and Anita Deason
Lamar and Roselyn Grissett
James and Verna Girgsby
Cecil and Annette West
